SUSTAINABILITY

Luxury, Lightly Touching the earth
A tent is the purest form of architecture—fabric and frame, nothing more—yet its ecological story can be as complex as any skyscraper. At Enchantents we measure impact not by how loudly we declare “eco” but by quiet facts: kilograms of carbon avoided, litres of water saved, seasons added before replacement. We design every component to tread softly and endure long enough that the greenest act of all—buy less, replace later—becomes effortless.
Longer Life, Lower Footprint
IMpact
A typical masonry bungalow locks in 40–60 t CO₂e before the first guest checks in. An Enchantents suite, by contrast, embodies just a fraction of that—and then stretches its service life beyond a decade through yacht‑grade materials, modular repairs and upgrade paths that prevent whole‑unit scrappage. Independent LCA modelling shows a 67 % reduction in embodied carbon over ten years versus like‑for‑like resort rooms.
Materials Chosen for Circularity
Our signature SolarPro® roof skins are solution‑dyed: colour pigments are infused before extrusion, eliminating post‑dye effluent and guaranteeing fade resistance that outlasts two conventional canvases. Structural steel is 100 % recyclable; PTFE threads and acrylic fabrics can re‑enter technical cycles through specialised take‑back partners. Even the packaging is right‑sized to courier dimensions, cutting volumetric freight emissions by up to 40 %.
Quick Facts
Zero deep foundations—platforms bolt to reversible footings, preserving root systems and watershed.
On‑site water consumption: < 40 L per clean – down, thanks to breathable fabrics that need no daily laundering.
OEKO‑TEX® Standard 100 certified textiles keep VOCs out of guest spaces and surrounding habitats.
Partnering for Positive Impact
Where feasible, we specify responsibly managed, locally available timber to reduce transport emissions, and we are developing partnerships for verifiable habitat‑restoration projects that match each build’s footprint. Every tent ships with a QR code that traces components back to origin mills and certifiers, so guests can scan and see the journey from raw fibre to starlit suite.

The Sustainable Luxury Pledge
We promise to evolve faster than regulations, to design for a future where outdoor hospitality enriches ecosystems rather than exploits them. When you choose Enchantents, you invest not only in guest delight but in the lasting health of the landscapes that make that delight possible.

Energy Ready, Off‑Grid Steady
Faceted roofs are pre‑wired for thin‑film solar; non‑insulated wall panels can be swapped for factory‑insulated versions, and an optional stove‑flashing panel safely routes a chimney for cold‑climate heating; under‑deck voids accommodate grey‑water tanks. These “energy slots” mean a retreat can open with generator power and migrate to renewables without structural changes—extending asset life while tightening footprints year over year.
Assembly Without Scars
Because the super‑structure relies on dry connections—no concrete pours, no heavy machinery—sites can be restored to pre‑build conditions within days. Operators in protected zones have dismantled full camps leaving only grass indentations and a richer database of biodiversity observations gathered during the operating years.
